Day 1 - Arrival at Thekkady
Arrive at Kottayam Railway Station or Cochin International Airport and get guided by the tour representative to Thekkady to check into a pre-booked accommodation. The distance from Cochin Airport is approximately 143 km and Kottayam Railway Station is 106 km away. Reaching Thekkady, spend the rest of the day at leisure and nearby exploration.
Day 2 - Periyar Boating
Head out from Thekkady quite early in the morning to reach Periyar Lake for a mesmerizing boat safari. Embark on a boat ride at the Periyar Lake. The boat safari is operated in the morning and evening shifts in multiple slots. Each slot of the boat safari operates for 1&½ hours. After the boat safari, tourists can go for border hiking or bamboo rafting. Return to Thekkady after the day’s excursion at Periyar Tiger Reserve.
Day 3 - Gavi Safari
Reach the Gavi Ecotourism Information Centre by 8:00 am to complete the registration process and then embark on a safari to get into the heart of the Gavi Ecotourism Zone. After breakfast inside the premises of the ecotourism zone, get ready for a trekking trail through the dense forest of Gavi to Sabarimala Viewpoint and then enjoy boating in Gavi Reservoir. Return to the Information Centre by jeep by 5:00 pm to conclude the full-day safari in Gavi. night halt at Thekkady.
Day 4 - Departure from Thekkady
Have breakfast and check out from the hotel or resort to head towards Kottayam Railway Station or Cochin International Airport to mark the end of the trip.
